Taittiriya Upanishad – Bhrigu Valli – 3-10-1 « »

सदाचारप्रदर्शनम् । ब्रह्मानन्दानुभवः
न कञ्चन वसतौ प्रत्याचक्षीत । तद्व्रतम् ।
तस्माद्यया कया च विधया बह्वन्नं प्राप्नुयात् ।
अराध्यस्मा अन्नमित्याचक्षते ।
एतद्वै मुखतोऽन्नꣳराद्धम् ।
मुखतोऽस्मा अन्नꣳराध्यते ।
एतद्वै मध्यतोऽन्नꣳराद्धम् ।
मध्यतोऽस्मा अन्नꣳराध्यते ।
एदद्वा अन्ततोऽन्नꣳराद्धम् ।
अन्ततोऽस्मा अन्न राध्यते ॥ १॥

sadācārapradarśanam . brahmānandānubhavaḥ
na kañcana vasatau pratyācakṣīta . tadvratam .
tasmādyayā kayā ca vidhayā bahvannaṃ prāpnuyāt .
arādhyasmā annamityācakṣate .
etadvai mukhato’nnagͫrāddham .
mukhato’smā annagͫrādhyate .
etadvai madhyato’nnagͫrāddham .
madhyato’smā annagͫrādhyate .
edadvā antato’nnagͫrāddham .
antato’smā anna rādhyate .. 1..

Do not turn away anyone who seeks shelter and stay. This is the vow. Let one therefore, acquire plenty of food by any means whatsoever. They should say: ‘Food is ready.’ If the food is prepared in the best manner, the food is givn to him (the guest) also in the best manner. If the food is prepared in the medium manner, food is also given to him in the medium manner. If food is prepared in the lowest manner, the same food is also given to him in the lower manner. he who knows thus, will obtain all the rewards as mentioned above.
